Anniversary Gifts: The Perfect way to say "I love you!"
Hints for finding perfect anniversary gifts:
It doesn't matter if you
will be celebrating your
1st anniversary or your 50th....you need to find the perfect anniversary gift!
The most important....don't forget! I have been married for close to 18 years and
quite honestly the only thing that will completely disappoint your wife is if you forget your anniversary!
-Think about what she likes to do. Give her a gift that reflects her interests. If her passion is gardening, give her a

so she can pick out something she likes! Gift Certificates are great because then she can pick out exactly what she wants.
-Be romantic...this never fails!
-Practical anniversary gifts are usually not a good idea....unless she has asked for something specific. You know a frying pan won't make her happy.....so don't buy it!
-Anniversary gifts that show you know what is important to her, mean the most! Sometimes we are lulled into thinking, "more money spent-means a better gift." This is not always true, the key is knowing what makes your wife the happiest. Listen to her...she will give little hints about what she likes and dislikes on a daily basis. "Tune into" this talk and you will be successful in finding a great gift!
-Give her a gift that holds special meaning. For instance, if you went to Hawaii for your honeymoon, give her a gift that reflects the special time the two of you had when you were there.
-Flowers, flowers, flowers! Flowers do something to women that men will probably never understand. Most women have loved flowers since they were little girls and this "love affair" never seems to be over. Do you know her favorite?
-Above all....put some thought and effort into finding the perfect gift. Running out to Wal-Mart 1 hour prior to when you want to give her your gift is NEVER a good idea!

Surprise her: Do something extra-special for your anniversary this year. Present your wife with the same kind of flowers that she carried in her wedding bouquet. If you don’t remember, and this is quite possible, do a little investigative work. Look at pictures from your wedding, contact the florist you used, or ask family and friends that attended your wedding. She will be amazed by your loving gesture and it will be an anniversary that the two of you will never forget!

When I was young I remember my father bringing home flowers for my mother. He would joke with her by telling her that he happened to be following a florist delivery truck on his way home from work. Each time, with great gusto, he would describe how the flowers just happened to fall out of the back of the truck. He would then relate how he stopped, scooped them up and brought them home for her. Without fail, she would listen to his "tall tale", smile, and arrange the flowers in a vase. I loved hearing his story and anxiously awaited the next time he would walk through the door with flowers for my mom. Years have gone by and this year my parents are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.
I would like to wish my parents good luck for many more happy years together!
