"Spring Fling"

Spring is here so welcome it by creating this silk flower arrangement by using colorful Gerber Daisies.

Gerber Daisies: 3 red & 3 orange
Daisies: 6 small yellow
Small purple filler flowers (dried or silk)
3 small sprigs of green grass
Assorted leaves
Small metal silver bucket
Floral foam

This is a mass flower arrangement that will be slightly rounded.

1. Wedge or secure foam in a bucket with hot glue.

2. Cut the stem of 1 Gerber Daisy so pot makes up 1/2 to 1/3 of total arrangement height.

3. Place this focal flower in the middle of the arrangement.

4. Place other Gerber Daisies at several lower levels within the diameter of the bucket (turn bucket as you work)

5. Fill in the areas as needed with yellow daisies

6. Fill in remaining areas with leaves and dried purple flowers

7. Add 3 small sprigs of grass....to give it a freshly picked wild flower look.

Caring for Silk Flower Arrangements

The easiest way to clean silk and dried flowers is by using an aerosol spray specially designed for this purpose. Silk flowers can also be cleaned gently with a damp rag or cleaned in the bathtub with warm soapy water.

If flowers get squished, they can easily be brought back to life by holding them over a pot of boiling water for a few seconds. Smooth out the leaves and petals and they will quickly return to their original form.
