~ Merchant Review ~

spring hill nursery daisies Ohio based - Spring Hill Nursery - offers gardeners a wide selection of common and not-so-common flowering plants, shrubs, vines and bulbs. It's a delicate balancing act to carry products that everyone will want without trying to compete with the big box stores. Spring Hill Nurseries offers 325 choices in the perennials section alone, making shopping those pages almost as good as visiting a huge nursery!

In addition to the usual stuff, Spring Hill Nurseries has the best selection of reblooming iris I've seen outside a specialist nursery. Reblooming iris are something of a recent phenomenon in American gardens, and the breeders hopped right on the "next big thing". While there will never be as many varieties of re-blooming iris as there are bearded iris, the number increases every year, surely to everyone's delight.

If it's bargains you are looking for, don't skip Spring Hill Nursery One Cent Sale. This sale adds a second item to you selection for just a penny, turning some purchases from a bag into a bounty. Other items are discounted as overstock, or end of season specials, and can be a good source of late season purchases to fill in holes in the garden.

Spring Hill Nurseries' product description page is one of the most complete I've seen. It is well presented, and includes interesting tidbits in the other Information section towards the bottom of the page.

Another good page is Customer Service. The FAQs are thorough, well organized and the answers are clear.

Spring Hill Nurseries ruined any chance of my doing business with them the second time their pop-up ad sprang up on my screen. Once was bad enough and forgivable, but the repeats were just obnoxious. On line businesses need to get a clue that any form of advertising that causes people to install software on their computers to block it is chasing buyers away from their site.

Another small annoyance on the Spring Hill Nurseries site is the shipping information. Instead of being listed under Shipping Info, as you would expect, it is unaccountably listed in the FAQs on the Customer Service page. Service charges are slightly less than some other nurseries, but not enough to make any real difference in the final cost of an order.

Amateurish web site design should not stop the determined shopper from browsing and buying from Spring Hill Nurseries. The products are extensive and exciting, information is abundant - especially in the Fast Facts side bar, and the company's enthusiasm is catching. One hopes they will hire a savvy web designer soon, one that will really bring out the charm, beauty and bargains of Spring Hill Nursery 's wonderful inventory.
