Wicker baskets to display houseplants and flowers
Wicker baskets are an inexpensive but stylish way to display a small group of
plants or flowers in your home.
You can always change display to match the season or holiday.
This can be done one of two ways depending how much time and energy you want to invest in
your home decorating project.

Quick start materials:
5 small house plants or even silk flower arrangements vary the sizes and colors to make
the arrangement pleasing to the eye wicker basket
Plastic
Compost
Decorative moss

Recommended Method #1:
line the inside of your basket with a piece of plastic-bottom and sides.
This will protect your furniture!
add a 1 inch layer of compost
remove plants from pots and place in basket. Vary the height of the plants
by raising the soil level in certain areas
add more compost and pat down plants
put a layer of decorative moss between plants.
Recommended Method # 2:
This method is obviously quicker to make but it
also allows you to easily change the plants if one dies or you want to change the
look of the arrangement.
-Line your basket with plastic.
-Leave plants in their individual containers and place in basket
-Add a thin layer of decorative moss between plants
